With a particular passion for postpartum mental health, I see the need to support birthing individuals throughout their prenatal, birth and postpartum experiences. I believe that planning for birth and postpartum together is like planning for a long lasting marriage rather than just a big fancy wedding, and that setting families up for long term success and satisfaction is much bigger than planning for birth alone. I rely on evidence based information, ancestral knowledge, extensive training, and continuing education to help you get the best start to your journey into parenthood.

You deserve the best start on this journey so let’s discuss realistic expectations, make a loose plan, create some preferences and close any gaps in your knowledge of physiological birth ahead of the big day. I want to make sure all of your questions are answered thoughtfully and thoroughly and that your providers are supportive of your needs. As labor starts and progresses I will be the biggest cheerleader, advocate, guide and unwavering support for both you and your partner as you welcome your new addition.

The first days and weeks with a new baby can be challenging. I will work with you to ensure you have all the support you need. If you need something I can’t help with I will connect you with someone I trust who can. Let’s make sure you’re well fed, well rested, and have the support to create some systems and routines that work for your new family dynamic. A little housework never scared me.

No one comes to the decision to terminate a pregnancy lightly. If you need someone to talk to, have questions, or require additional resources I would love to support you in whatever capacity you need.

My goal is to be the most steadfast supporter, loudest cheerleader, most zero-bullshit doula I can be. I want my clients to have realistic expectations for their birth experience, to be prepared for the ugly side of being a new parent, and to have the tools they need to cope with both. I need you to understand the birthing body’s propensity for Postpartum Mood Disorders, intrusive thoughts, and wild hormonal fluctuations while feeling reassured that you have the power to get through it all. I will help you discover the power of your own agency and to find and use your voice at every step of the journey.
